Is Acai Berry Or That New Green Tea Pill Safe For A Teen?

I heard a lot of rave of these two pills/supplements. I want to try one but I don’t know if it’ll be safe at my age.

Any advice would be great!

I’ve been using Acai for over seven years back when only a tiny Brazilian cafe in Berkeley California sold it here in Northern California and find it more of a food than a supplement. If you like the taste of the juice then wonderful as it is very delicious but if you desire Acai’s full benefits then I highly recommend bypassing the juice which is almost always Acai in a very diluted form and purchasing the berry pulp in frozen form from Sambazon, the first and still the most reliable importer of Acai. I don’t take meds nor do I have diet issues but eaten as whole food, Acai should be very beneficial to your body as it contains not only one of the strongest antioxidants alongside Pomegranate and Aronia berries but Acai contains omega fatty acids which are healers and brain food.
I would caution against taking it in a dried supplement form, though I only say that because there is no data available on how it might interact with meds just in case you may be taking any or if it even is effective as a capusule. My experience with the supplement is that it is similar to taking grape seed extract or cranberry capsules; benign but beneficial. Pomegranate and Acai are fine together but ideally you should space out your consumption of any antioxidants throughout the day so they are absorbed steadily. For instance, eat a little bit of acai with each meal instead of one package or bottle a day at a single sitting.
Foods that have tended to conflict with absorption of antioxidants are usually high in Vitamin A (liver, organ meats) ,VERY high in acidity like grapefruit juice or dairy product based. Acai is one of the best foods you can put in your body and it should be much more mainstream than it currently is. Unlike many other super foods it’s affordable!

  2. acai berry and Green Tea are both full of antioxidants and you don’t need to take the pills to get the content out of them. You can drink green tea and buy acai berry Puree at whole foods stores, sprouts, and places like that, you can add it to smoothies and such, it has an odd taste, it’s not a bad taste just hard to describe. Diet pills are not good for anyone of any age. If you are truly overweight you could talk to an adult about going with you to weight watchers…i’m in it and there’s not a lot of teenagers but there are some. It works wonderfully I am HORRIBLE at diets and this is the only plan that I have ever stuck with fore more than a few days, and it works wonderfully.

  5. Don’t be stupid - read the disclaimers and you will find out they are scams!! Don’t waste your money. If they really worked, you wouldn’t be able to find them since the manufacturers could not supply enough to meet the demand.
